About
I'm a developer drawn to the intersection of technology and the natural world. My days are spent writing open source code; my time away from the screen is spent wandering the wild parts of Ireland with my black lab, Poe.
The name Gangleri comes from Norse mythology—the disguised form of King Gylfi, who as a wanderer sought wisdom from the gods in Asgard. It felt right for someone who finds meaning in both ancient stories and the pursuit of knowledge through code.
I'm fascinated by myth and legend, but firmly grounded in science and evidence. I believe the best ideas emerge from walking—whether through a forest, up a mountain, or across a problem in code.
Interests
Hillwalking
Exploring the wild places of Ireland and beyond. There's clarity to be found above the treeline, and Poe makes an excellent hiking companion.
Photography
Capturing landscapes, particularly the moody atmospheres of Irish mountains and coastlines. The interplay of light and weather creates moments worth preserving.
Reading
From ancient mythology to modern science. Stories shape how we understand the world, whether they're told around a fire or in a research paper.
